Mixed-Use
A large scale mixed-use development works as an icon in developing cities, and with its compound programs organized under the same roof to complement each other, it creates a three-dimensional urban structure. Also, as it gives new functions and energy to a relatively deteriorated old downtown area, it revitalizes the stagnant local economy.

A mixed-use complex development requires an efficient land use strategy which can organically combine more than three programs among various programs such as commercial, office, residential, culture and entertainment. At this time, along with a stereoscopic consideration of various aspects in terms of time, space, symbolism and feasibility as well as a measure for physical and functional integration of different components, it needs a coherent development plan, procedural implementation and specialized design strategy based on a wide range of experience and know-how for mixed-use projects.
Although the high rate land use is inevitable for the mixed-use development, it is necessary to prevent the underdeveloped area and to maintain a pleasant urban space. In this regard, their design should reflect such purpose by providing a maximized public open space, a network with neighboring parks that improves the quality of life and restores urban ecosystem, and a refined traffic planning that enhances accessibility from all directions.

Developing various housing types which can accommodate different social groups and lifestyles altogether relates to designing customized facility or space for an aging society with low birth rate. The change in average number of people per household due to the proliferation of nuclear families and single-elderly households proves the necessity of housing type development which can embrace such life changes. And, developing new housing type as alternatives to deteriorated detached and apartment housings is also an important task for future housing design. In the context of urban regeneration and old downtown revitalization, ‘low-rise high density multifamily housings’ can be regarded as one of the promising solutions among other redevelopment, reconstruction and remodeling schemes.
Creating a pleasant living environment entails not only the hands of an architect. A residential design must assess all relevant aspects including society, city, environment and culture. This means it requires a close collaboration among decision makers, architects, urban planners and project owners. SAMOO’s pursuit of a humane and sustainable settlement environment is being intensified throughout its collaboration network while producing decent outcomes. Through active communication with external housing design experts and human resource development programs encouraging participation in research activities, SAMOO as a residential project specialist is refining its flexible and creative brilliance.

Data Center Power Capacity

Designed by SAMOO
Unlike other buildings, data centers are unique in that they can withstand any adverse conditions. It reflects the essential requirements for redundant system, such as applying the highest level of earthquake resistance, redundant power in case of a power outage, power supply through emergency generators even if the power supply is interrupted, and redundant equipment and piping to cool the servers.
In order to solve these various conditions and design the optimal space, we would like to review interference in real time with BIM design and minimize errors during construction with excellent consistency with drawings.
In addition, data centers are power-hungry buildings, and most of that power is used to run servers. How much power can be reduced by equipment and other facilities to cool the heat generated by the servers is a critical factor in designing an efficient and economical data center.
Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is the most widely used metric in Republic of Korea and abroad to measure the power usage efficiency of a data center: the total amount of power used by the data center is divided by the total amount of power of the data center's IT equipment, and the lower the number, the more efficient the data center is.
According to the Uptime Institute, the average global data center PUE was 2.5 in 2006, but recently, various technologies are being applied to achieve an average PUE of 1.3 or less.
SAMOO proposes an efficient alternative through a multifaceted technical review for sustainable data center design.
Modular
The modular construction business offers an innovative solution that transcends the traditional bound aries and limitations of the design and construction industries. By breaking down these barriers and e mbracing future-oriented challenges, it aims to generate new growth drivers. SAMOO leverages its extensive technical expertise, combining off-site construction (OSC) and modula r technologies to deliver unparalleled value to clients. By reducing labor requirements and shortening construction timelines, SAMOO achieves cost savings and ensures manufacturing-level quality throug h factory production while upholding ESG values, thereby creating an integrated system for future-foc used design and production.

(contribute to environmental improvements)
Modular construction simplifies traditionally complex construction processes by using standardized products, thus improving construction efficiency by 30%. Factory-based production systems enhance quality by 20%, and pre-design review processes increase project predictability by 30%, effectively eliminating project variability.
The application of dry construction methods for module connections allows for easy disassembly, flexible movement, and structural modifications, enabling proactive responses to future demands. Complete reusability of modules not only reduces waste but also lowers carbon emissions, aligning with ESG management principles.
By incorporating off-site construction (OSC) and modular technologies, modular construction allows for 80% of the work to be completed in a factory setting. This approach significantly shortens construction periods by 35-50%, as it is not subject to seasonal or weather-related delays. Specialized equipment and manufacturing processes reduce the technical demands on workers while enhancing both quality and safety. Off-site manufacturing minimizes the need for on-site labor, reducing personnel by 60%. This results in an 80% reduction in accident risks, ensuring safer site operations.
