He joined the company in 1991 and for 30 years, he has been carrying out many projects of office, research & science facilities and advanced industrial facilities such as ‘SECL Global Engineering Center’, ‘Samsung Life Beijing Office’, ‘Samsung Pyeongtaek Plant’ and ‘Hankook Technodome’. Apart from architectural design, he has also worked in fields such as marketing and management, and has held positions such as High-tech and Architectural Design Business Manager, leading the company’s stable growth based on broad knowledge and experience across the entire management. In the changing economic climate and industrial ecosystem, he aspires to actively support digital transformation in the design and fulfill social responsibilities as the innovative leader of future architecture.

Architectural Engineering Division
Ji Taek Shim received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from Hongik University.
He has been working for SAMOO for 20 years and has been carrying out projects of cultural space, offices, commercial
and high-end residential facility. His representative works include Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop, Seocho SAMSUNG Town,
and Leeum SAMSUNG Museum of Art and by collaborating with various experts such as traditional Korean housing experts, installation artists, etc., he has completed high-end residences and renovation projects.
With the experiences obtained through remodeling designing of various facilities, he has been providing consulting services in multiple areas to customers and aims to implement customers’ pursuits into accomplished designs.

Jae Young Cha joined SAMOO in 1994. Since he became a registered architect in 1995,
he has been working on architectural planning and designing of various projects
such as commercial offices, cultural, educational, research, and residential facilities, etc.
He received his bachelor’s degree in 1988 and master’s degree in 1990 from Yonsei University, majoring in architectural engineering. Since he started to practice in 1991, he has been working on public projects for most of his 25 year career.

Eui Suk Lee received bachelor of Architecture from Inha University.
After he joined SAMOO, Mr. Lee has over 20 years of design experience regarding the industrial plant field.
With his extensive knowledge and experience Mr. Lee provides optimized total solutions for all the industrial facilities
such as FAB, Utilities, substation, lab, and logistic bldg.

Strategic Biz Division
Dong Hoon Kim leads the Strategic Business Division responsible for future business and global new Biz model of SAMOO.
With a wide range of experiences throughout various countries and areas,
KIM has been carrying out a number of overseas projects more recently in Malaysia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.
He has played a central role in developing overseas strategy and acquiring global talents in SAMOO.
After graduating from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), the US with the master’s degree in Super high-rise Bldgs,
he worked in an architectural design firm in Chicago for 4 years and then, joined SAMOO in 2003.
As an intelligent building expert, he has been carrying out various office projects.
In particular, he led the Sustainable Design Team for 4 years from 2011 and has successfully carried out sustainable pilot projects such as Eco Factory Prototype, Low-Energy Building and, consulting-research tasks including Net Zero Energy Building architectural element technologies, Smart City Micro Energy Grid, etc.
Architectural Support Team
Since joining SAMOO 27 years ago, JeongJong Park has been in charge of finance, tax, and financial affairs.
By developing financial settlement and project profit/loss programs, he has improved the convenience and efficiency of work.
He values a sincere and straightforward attitude as a management philosophy.
Currently, he is the head of the Architectural Support Team within the Architectural Design Division,
and he is in charge of tasks including order management,
revenue management, profit/loss management, business management, and PM of the Architectural Design Division.
Studio 2
Sang Hwi Kang has been specialized in planning and designing healthcare facilities
and research institutes since joining Samoo 25 years ago.
He graduated from Yonsei University in 1990 and received the master’s degree from the same university.
Currently, he is in charge of SAMOO B&H Group, the Korea’s best performance and expertise group in healthcare and research facilities planning. In particular, he had been in charge of major projects of Samsung Medical Center for 8 years and by residing in the planning office and construction HQ himself, he benchmarked top global hospitals and research centers and experienced all stages of the process engaging in every stage ranging from the initial planning stage to the designing and construction stages,
which led him to have the vision to supervise entire processes and aspects about healthcare projects.
Such career can help him to provide the knowledge necessary for the planning stage of a project
with operation and planning as well as for architectural tasks to clients who plan medical facilities.

As a licensed architect with more than 20 years of experience,
Simon S. Kim has been leading a wide range of corporate, institutional and mission critical projects.
He designed Woori-Bank Sang-Am Center, Hana Sqare & Centennial Hall of Korea University, Asiana IDT Research Center,
Korean Air T2 IOC etc. As a Principal of Design Studio 1,
he is leading a variety of design projects that satisfies the complex interests of the clients.
Mr. Kim was the Head of New York Studio in 2014 and successfully designed a couple of tricky projects - such as Qatar Hotel
and New York Korea Embassy to UN - while he is leading architects with diverse background.
Mr. Kim has extensive working experience with international clients.
His global clients include Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, University of Rwanda, Ministry of Information Technology of Pakistan & Myanmar, and Lam Research. As a LEED AP, he is also well knowledgeable about sustainable design.
Smart Residential Design Studio
Since joining Samoo in 1994, Chul Ho Kim has taken part in various projects with a professional focus specifically on
residential design and development projects in Korea and abroad.
He, based on his abundance of experience and professional knowhow, provides end-to-end solution to various types of projects
from masterplan design, ultra-high-rise mixed-use buildings, high-end residential complex,
to real estate development projects that is growing more complicated.
His major works, among others, include Tower Palace, Raemian East Palace, Pangyo Daejang District Master Plan, Mixed-use building at Midancity Yeoungjong, and Hyosung Harrington Court Gangnam.
He has also designed condominium and luxury villas in R District of Jeju Shinwha World.
His overseas works include South Brooks at Desa ParkCity, Kuching Upland Condominium, and Putrajaya Residential in Malaysia.
He is enthusiastic about developing new and various types of residential design and future smart living space
that can cope with a variety of modern lifestyles, while paying attention to urban regeneration and eco-friendly remodeling
that would lead to harmony among human, urban and the nature.

Myung Kyu Song is an expert in utility design for high-tech industrial facilities.
In 1996, he joined the Samsung Group and participated in the design and construction of domestic and overseas industrial plants.
Ever since he joined Samoo Architects & Engineers in 2005, he has been in charge of FAB utility processes,
such as semiconductors and batteries, and piping design.
In particular, when he was in charge of Samsung Semiconductor FAB, he consistently gained trust
from the client based on the know-how that he obtained from many design experiences of executing the entire process
from planning to completion. Major achievements include Samsung Semiconductor Lines 15, 16, and 17, Pyeongtaek Plant,
Samsung SDI Gachon Battery Plant, and ExxonMobil Gumi BSF Factory.
Modular Biz Division
Kyoung Tae Kang is in charge of the Office for Modular Business, a new division promoted in SAMOO.
He directs tasks to ensure expertise in modular design. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in architecture
and a master’s degree in the field of the architectural environment from Seoul University.
In 1995, he joined Samsung C&T Corporation and gained extensive expertise in the field of construction,
both at domestic and international sites and the headquarters.
In particular, while working as a member of the technology team, he provided technical support for skyscrapers
and atypical curtain wall projects, including Burj Kalifa and DDP.
He was also in charge of the ENG team, the team responsible for the engineering of architectural design, structure, waterproofing, insulation, and finishing technology and establishing expertise in those sectors.
Based on his experience and knowledge in engineering, he contributed significantly to the development and commercialization of modular systems, such as the development of technology for joining modular systems and supplying office modular systems.
Advanced Technology Department 3
Min Young Kim earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architectural engineering from Sungkyunkwan University.
For the past 20 years, he has been working on high-tech design projects and technological development since joining SAMOO.
He is currently working on developing future-oriented production facilities such as maximizing the production area, optimizing utility supply facilities, standardizing design, and practicing DT-based design, based on his experience in designing industrial facilities such as large-scale production complex master plans, production facilities, utility supply facilities, office and welfare facilities,
and high-tech research institute buildings. He worked on projects for Samsung Electronics’ MR2 and Line 16 in Hwaseong, SR3 in Giheung, M/P and Line X1 in Xian, China, M/P, Assembly 4, and Line l in Suzhou, China, SEVT M/P in Vietnam,
Techone Turbo Compressor Factory in Changwon, R&D Center in Pangyo, and KAI Wing-Rib Factory.

SuYong Park is an expert in industrial plant design. Since joining SAMOO, he has specialized in high-tech FAB design, with a focus on electrical systems and system engineering for semiconductor, display, and battery facilities, as well as ultra-high pressure voltage design. With his extensive experience, he has overseen major projects at Samsung’s Pyeongtaek Industrial Complex and Taylor in the United States. Currently serving as the Head of Advanced Technology Department 1, he is dedicated to providing world-class service to clients. His key projects include Samsung Electronics’ Giheung System LSI, Hwaseong Lines 10, 11, 12, 13, and 17, Pyeongtaek Lines P2 and P3, EUV Line, Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS), and Taylor Line T1 in the U.S.
Bio Healthcare Design Studio
Hyuk Soo Park received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Hanyang University. He is an expert in designing
bio healthcare facilities, and has spent 25 years at SAMOO designing numerous medical facilities and bio facilities.
Currently, he is leading the Bio Healthcare Design Studio.
His major performances in medical facility projects include Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, the Cancer Center at Seoul National University Hospital, Daejeon Eulji University Medical Center, Busan St. Mary’s Hospital, and Jeju National University Hospital. Since medical facilities need to take both practical functions and aesthetics into account, he strives to create a patient-centered healing environment.
His major performances in bio facility projects include Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis, SK Bioscience, Korea Brain Research Institute, Daegu/Osong Medical Innovation Foundation, and National Institute of Ecology. He is putting a lot of effort into creating a space for creative communication within the research institute, reaching beyond the practical purposes of the research and production facilities.
Advanced Technology Department 4
YoungBum Yoo graduated from Inha University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2000. Since joining SAMOO, he has primarily worked on semiconductor plants for Samsung Electronics, as well as a range of projects including data centers, research laboratories, and apartment-type factories. He has played a pivotal role in developing and completing new projects from master planning to final construction for semiconductor industrial complexes, including Xi’an in China, Pyeongtaek in Korea, and Taylor in the United States. Recognized as an expert in international collaborations with local design firms, he has contributed to projects, including Xi’an Line X1, Pyeongtaek Lines P1 to P3, and Taylor Line T1 . He is committed to advancing cleanroom facilities through innovative technologies that reduce costs and enhance production efficiency, avoiding conventional methods with each project.
Sustainable Design
He graduated from Hongik University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and is in charge of SAMOO’s Sustainable Design division.
Beginning with the Samsung Green Tomorrow (Zero Energy House),
for which it received LEED Platinum certification for the first time in East Asia, he has established expertise in various fields,
including sustainable design technology and energy reduction in buildings.
He carried out projects that combined architectural design with sustainable design technologies, such as the Korea Energy Agency’s New Office Building in Ulsan, the Advanced Eco Energy R&D Center, the Magnolia Zero Energy House in Thailand, and Naver 1784.
As a result, he received honors including the Korean Architecture Awards and the BCI Green Design Awards.
He has conducted research on various building performances such as building energy, CFD, stack effect reduction methods,
and double skin, as well as offering consultation on related subjects.
He holds certificates in the field of sustainable design including LEED AP and Certified Passive House Designer,
and he oversees a wide range of domestic and international certification tasks in the field of sustainable design.
As an expert in sustainable design technology at SAMOO, he seeks to expand the business into new fields based on sustainable
design technology, enhancing the capabilities related to carbon neutrality in buildings, and presenting a vision for future architecture based on it.
Administration Division
As the head of the Administration Division, KeeHan Park is in charge of assisting the general management of the company,
which includes planning, human resources, finance, RM, and compliance. Prior to joining SAMOO,
he worked for Samsung C&T Corporation in the construction sector,
where he gained balanced experience in planning, human resources, business management, and so on.
Based on his accumulated experience, he has been tasked with creating management performance
and finding new business opportunities for SAMOO’s sustainable management.
Planning and Management
HyungJoon Lim has worked at Samsung C&T Corporation for 20 years,
gaining a wide range of experience including finance and business management.
Based on this experience,
he focuses on specifying and implementing management strategies in response to the changing business environment,
laying the foundation for development as a global architecture group.
Studio 3
SangDon Park graduated from Seoul National University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture.
He then joined SAMOO where he worked on various tasks including architectural design and technology research.
He participated in various projects such as Korea National University of Arts, Samsung Hoam Hall renovation, Korea Job World, L&B Tower, KBS Jeonju Broadcasting Station, and Yonsei Business Building to gain design expertise and contribute to the competitiveness
of design ENG by establishing design standardization and design guidelines. He is currently in charge of data centers and
industrial facilities, with the goal of achieving innovative and efficient design through technology-based design that integrates architecture, engineering, and DT.

SeoungSu Lee is a high-tech design specialist who first joined a specialized industrial facility company in 2000,
where he learned the basics of design practice, and joined SAMOO in 2006,
where he has specialized in high-tech design for about 20 years. Especially in the case of semiconductor FAB,
he has the expertise and ability to provide high-quality designs and win the client’s trust based on the experience
of carrying out numerous designs from planning to construction completion. Major achievements include master planning,
FAB and subsidiary facility design for Samsung Semiconductor’s domestic
(Line 15, 16 and 17 in Hwaseong, Line P4 and P5 in Pyeongtaek, Line S in Cheonan)
and overseas (Line B and E in Suzhou, and Line X1 and X2 in Xi’an) complexes.
